UI/UX design measured by what users manage to do
We design interfaces for web applications, mobile apps, SaaS dashboards and e-commerce. The work is grounded in user research, tested with real people, and handed to developers as build-ready Figma files. A UX audit of your current product is free, and full design projects start from £3,000.
The measure of success is task completion, not applause. Can a first-time user do the thing your product exists for, without help?
Who this is for, and who it is not
A good fit if:
- Product teams whose users struggle, churn, or flood support with the same questions
- Founders who want their MVP designed properly before development makes changes expensive
- Businesses whose checkout, sign-up or enquiry flow leaks conversions
Not the right service if:
- You want decoration for a product whose flow you refuse to change. Polish on a confusing journey is wasted money
- You need a full-time embedded product designer. We deliver projects and part-time ongoing support, not permanent placement
What you actually get
User research
Interviews, surveys and analytics review to establish what users actually need, plus personas and journey maps that survive contact with reality because they came from it.
Wireframes and prototypes
Low then high-fidelity wireframes and clickable Figma prototypes, so stakeholders react to something real before code exists.
Usability testing
Watching real users attempt real tasks: moderated sessions, heatmaps, session recordings and A/B tests where traffic allows. Findings arrive as prioritised fixes, not a slide deck of vibes.
Accessible by default
Contrast, focus states, labels and keyboard paths designed in from the start, targeting WCAG 2.2 AA. That also makes products better for everyone in a hurry on a phone.
Developer handoff
Organised Figma files, component specifications, asset exports and a design system your developers can build from without guessing. We speak developer natively, which shortens this conversation considerably.
How it works, from enquiry to handover
- Free UX audit. We review your current site or product and send a short written list of quick wins and structural issues. No obligation.
- Research and definition. Users interviewed, journeys mapped, success metrics agreed. Typically 1 to 2 weeks.
- Design and prototype. Wireframes to high-fidelity prototype with a structured feedback round at each stage.
- Test, refine, hand off. Usability testing, refinements, then developer handoff, or straight into our own development team if we are building it too.
What it costs

|---|---|---|
| UX audit | Free | Written quick-win recommendations |
| UX review and recommendations | From £750 | Full usability audit with prioritised, detailed report |
| Full UX/UI design project | From £3,000 | Research, wireframes, prototype, visual design, handoff |
| Ongoing design support | From £500/month | Design hours, testing and design-system upkeep |
Project price scales with the number of distinct screens and flows, research depth, and rounds of testing. All prices are in GBP. Any applicable VAT is confirmed on your written quote before payment.
What we need from you
- Access to some real users or customers for research and testing. Even five makes a real difference
- Analytics access if the product is live
- A product owner able to make decisions between options. We bring evidence, you make the call
Honest answers to common objections
“We know our users; we don’t need research.”
You know your product, which is exactly why parts of it are invisible to you. Every usability session we have run has surprised the product owner watching within ten minutes. Research is cheap insurance against building the wrong thing beautifully.
“Can’t developers just design as they build?”
They can, and the result usually mirrors the database rather than the user’s task. Design-first costs a few weeks and removes the far larger cost of rebuilding screens users could not operate.
“Is £3,000 not a lot for some Figma files?”
The files are the artefact. The product is the thinking they encode: validated flows, tested screens, and specifications a developer can build first time. Skipping that is how £20,000 builds end up needing £10,000 of rework.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between UI and UX?
UX is whether people can complete tasks: the flow and logic. UI is how it looks and feels: type, colour, layout, components. You need both, and we deliver them together.
Do I need UX design for a simple website?
A full research project, no. UX thinking, yes. Call-to-action placement, form length and phone-number visibility measurably change how many enquiries a simple site produces. That thinking is built into our web design service.
How do you test designs?
Clickable prototypes tested with real users, moderated sessions with think-aloud tasks, and on live products heatmaps, session recordings and A/B tests. Method follows the question and the traffic available.
Can you improve an existing product without a redesign?
Yes. Targeted fixes to the worst friction points often deliver most of the value at a fraction of the cost. The free audit tells you which situation you are in.
Do you follow accessibility standards?
We design to WCAG 2.2 AA: contrast, focus visibility, labelled controls, keyboard operability and screen-reader-sensible structure. If you have formal compliance obligations, we document conformance as part of the deliverable.
